Label: A type of pig in South Africa. At the time I worked on a farm where there were a few Vietnamese Potbelly pigs and on a rear occasion these weird-looking ones would pop up which are called the Kolbroek. Kolbroek in Afrikaans refers to “spot on the pants” and the reason behind the drawing on the label.

A deep, attractive “moreishness” and alluring, dark bramble fruit with olive tapenade, and jerky that pull you in. It is undeniably savoury! The palate follows in high spirits with a vibrant and racy acidity that wakes you up. Once you acclimatise, it’s a pure joy to drink-fresh, bone-dry, savoury and brimming with character.
