Cabernet Franc from 6 parcels with a mix of soils (Jurassic, Turonian clay & limestone, gravelly silt). Vines are between 15-30 years. Natural ferment and aged in concrete vats for around 9 months. A cuvée to show what a Saumur Rouge should be.
Aromas of raspberry, plum, cherry with thyme, green pepper, licorice spice, crushed rock on the nose. Juicy and approachable, ripe red/black fruit balanced with earthier notes, fresh acidity, fine tannin, medium weight with great balance, good length on the finish with a hint of violet.
