Svet's Tasting Notes

100% Pinot Noir from our 19th Street and Home Farm vineyards. A wine of molten energy, breezy elegance and dappled light. The bouquet streams out of the glass, enveloping and delicate with notes of roses, summer cherries and rose geraniums. The palate is nuanced, dancing in between the darkness of spice and ripe fruit and the light of sour cherries and hay fields. Fine-grained tannins are wrapped in velvet fruit and the wine glides and tiptoes and taps with the precision and airiness of Fred Astaire.

Tech Notes

Our 2018 Chamboulé comes from our 19th Street (34%) and Home Farm (66%) vineyards. The fruit was harvested on October 20th and 30th/31st respectively. The wines were fermented 100% whole-cluster fruit and aged in a combination of demi-muids and barrels (19th vineyard fruit) and a combination of concrete and foudre (Home Farm fruit). The wines aged 17 months before being blended and aged for an additional 3 months, for a total of 20 months of élévage.

2018 Chamboulé Pinot Noir was bottled unfiltered and un-fined on May 19th, 2020.
