Giant Sky Rose is infinitely drinkable and sure to refresh the thirstiest of wine drinkers. The grapes are sourced from Oregon’s Applegate Valley from vineyards that produce fruit with abundant acidity and juicy ripe flavours. The Zinfandel is from the Connor Vineyard and the Primitivo is from the Hodge Vineyard.”
In order to give the Giant Sky more depth and character we decided to give the Zinfandel a 7-day carbonic maceration and direct press the Primitivo. The result has been quite enjoyable. The two lots were then blended into stainless.
The first aspect you will notice is the Giant Sky’s rich pink colour, so playful and fun. The aroma is strawberry and wet stone while the palate is ripe Hood strawberry, juicy melon and a lovely backbone of crushed granite. People love to say ‘rosé all day’ but this can definitely be an after-hours rosé.
