Born out of the British tradition of “afternoon tea” , Hong Kong milk tea became popular in street-food stall and cafes serving the working class people of Hong Kong, and can now be found in Chinese diasporas throughout the world. It is traditionally made with black tea, evaporated milk, and sugar, and is characterized by a robust flavour profile and a rich creamy texture. We make our ice cream version of this Cantonese classic with a blend of Ceylon tea and condensed milk.
