A geological study of terroir in liquid form. A journey into the history of the Ponca rock substrate, shaped, transported and lifted by tectonic action and spread across Italy and Slovenia - specifically, the four Protected Denominations of Origin from the Collio, the Colli Orientali del Friuli, the Brda and the Vipava.
From the deposits on their own vineyard and through cooperation with colleagues in Slovenia, Borgo del Tiglio has combined the terroir of the Ponca substrate into the enigmatic wine we find here: Milleponche.
Ok, ok, but is it any good?
